Bye bye my last day of 2019

Dear diary,

We've come to the last page of 365 pages. Here we go.

The new year is approaching just tomorrow. I hope you have a joyful year ahead.  Do you write any new year resolutions?  To me, almost every year I write some, but think this year I may write the same resolutions so I quit :)

Thailand has a long holiday starting from Sat. 28 Dec. - 1 Jan. 2020. Ritually, I mostly stay at home during this period reading and sorting out stuff.  Have you ever heard about the idea of Ms. Marie Kondo, the Japanese organizational guru, who initiated the idea of 'spark joy'? That is, if you want to dump things, you may think if those things still spark joy or not. If not, just let them go. Sounds simple, right?

Therefore, my plan is to sorting books out.  I have tons of books on a bookshelf. They are now maybe crying as the owner has ignored them for so long.  Admittedly,  I can't help buying both first hand and 2nd- hand books when I visit a bookstore.

2 days ago I climbed the mountain to see the Black & White pagodas on the other side of the Songkhla pier. The local govt. has promoted it to be the sacred place and link this route to Songkhla World Heritage ( which is still in a process). I just realized that I wasn't that strong. Climbing up steep stairs made me so exhausted. I really wanted to crawl. I saw 1 strayed dog walking elegantly past me. I would really like to be his friend so that he could carry me on top to the top of the mount. (The reason to befriend with the dog is quite weird, huh? If that dog knows, it probably thinks I'm not a good friend as I just look for my own benefit;).

Each time I successfully climbed up the mount, the sense of achievement excites me and I would like to do it again once a year at least.

Well, this month I am kind of Ms. Santa Claus. I mainly organized the Christmas Party for Eng. major on 22 Dec. 2019 and also on 25 Dec. Sterling my American co-worker, 15 Eng.major freshmen, & I did a flashmob walking from classroom to classroom and also a canteen to sing Christmas carols and happily, the students in other classes look surprised and I thought this activity brighten their days and also woke them up:)   20 students & I also visited the orphanage in Hatyai to read and play with kids.  ( Pls see a Christmas card that I helped the staff at the orphanage made it.)

Happy new year 2020.
Till we meet again. And we'll start fresh.
See you, the first page of new 365 pages.
